Despite the Gods, a feature documentary I have been working on, has been selected for Hot Docs International Documentary Festival.

Something Fishy was awarded with an Australian Screen Editors Award for Best Editing in a Short Film. Something Fishy, directed by Kristy Best is a quirky black comedy that “taps into the sweetest, most naive part of children and turns it on its head. At Home with Julia an ABC comedy that Melanie edited has been nominated for an AACTA Award (Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Art).

Dinner Date is a fun show that I worked on last year. It starts on Channel 7 on Tuesday 26th July at 9.30pm. Each week Manu will introduce us to a single guy or girl looking for love. After perusing five dinner menus, they will choose the three most appealing menus and embark on three blind dates with the successful chefs cooking their ambitious menus and hosting the date in their own home.

Cockroach starts it Film Festival journey at the Revelation Perth International Film Festival. Cockroach, edited by Melanie, screened in front of a packed out audience in the Animation Showcase. Cockroach has also been selected to screen at the St Louis International Film Festival, USA and the Aguilar de Campoo Short Film Festival in Spain.

Man’s Best Friend, edited by Melanie, has screened at two festivals in the USA. Melanie travelled to the Los Angeles Comedy Festival and also to the St Louis International Film Festival to attend screenings. Man’s Best Friend is also due to play this week in Houston at the Houston Comedy Film Festival.

Melanie has just been nominated for an Australian Screen Editors Award for her work on Bondi Rescue.

Recruits One Hour Finale tonight on Channel 10, 7.30pm

Recruits is an observational documentary series that follows a group of police recruits as they embark on the long and gruelling journey towards becoming fully-fledged police officers. Tonight’s finale sees the Recruits graduate and hit the beat for the first time.

Emergency! Emergency! a clip Melanie edited for The Hot Lies is up for Best Video Clip at this year’s Inside Film Awards! The awards will be held on the 13th November.
