Man's Best Friend Screens in the US

Man’s Best Friend, edited by Melanie, has screened at two festivals in the USA. Melanie travelled to the Los Angeles Comedy Festival and also to the St Louis International Film Festival to attend screenings. Man’s Best Friend is also due to play this week in Houston at the Houston Comedy Film Festival.

Melanie has just been nominated for an Australian Screen Editors Award for her work on Bondi Rescue.

RECRUITS Finale on Tonight

Recruits One Hour Finale tonight on Channel 10, 7.30pm

Tune in tonight for the one hour special of Recruits that Melanie edited.

Recruits is an observational documentary series that follows a group of police recruits as they embark on the long and gruelling journey towards becoming fully-fledged police officers. Tonight’s finale sees the Recruits graduate and hit the beat for the first time.

Emergency! Emergency! a clip Melanie edited for The Hot Lies is up for Best Video Clip at this year’s Inside Film Awards! The awards will be held on the 13th November.

The Art Life airs on ABC

The Art Life, a three-part series Melanie edited is currently on air - Tuesdays, 10pm on the ABC.

Andrew Frost hosts the show, “I wanted to give the public a sense of what was going on in Australian art in the context of the ideas that inspire that art,” Frost says. “My view is that people are interested in contemporary art. There’s always that curiosity value because people will see stuff in the media and think, ‘What’s that about?’ “

Danya Takes Out Best Editing

Melanie recently picked up the Outstanding Editing Award at the HATCHfest Film Festival in Montana, USA for the short film Danya. Danya was directed by Beth Armstrong who was there to accept the award.

Melanie looks forward to using her prize - $5000 of telecine, digital effects or titles at The Syndicate
